Interns will work under the supervision of Altek Solutions’ existing consulting staff to gain experience developing data models, metadata layers, reports and interactive dashboards for projects. Successful individuals will utilize a variety of technical and business skills to contribute to the success of actual projects being developed by Altek Solutions.
Required:
- Computer Science or Information Systems major in sophomore year or later
- Experience with databases and SQL
- Self-starter, able to work with limited guidance
- Prior experience with Business Objects or Crystal Reports
- Experience with relational database design
Business Intelligence Application Development Interns
Interns will work under the supervision of Altek Solutions’ existing software development staff to develop a variety of business intelligence-related software for client projects. Successful individuals will utilize a variety of technical and business skills to contribute to the success of actual software being developed by Altek Solutions.
Required:
- Computer Science or Information Systems major in sophomore year or later
- Experience with object oriented programming
- Experience with databases and SQL
- For students, programming experience outside of required class work
- Self-starter, able to work with limited guidance
- Experience with Java or .NET web development
- Experience with Java Struts, Hibernate, Spring, Apache Commons
- Experience with development software such as Eclipse IDE, Visual Studio .NET, Subversion, Ant, etc.
- Experience with Adobe Flex/Flash
