SAP BusinessObjects has released another fix pack for the newly named Crystal Dashboard Design (Xcelsius 2008). Fix Pack 3.2 is now available for download out on SAP’s Service Marketplace and can be found under the Business Objects Download page through the following path: SAP BusinessObjects Support Software and Corrections > SBOP Dashboard Design Enterprise > BOBJ Xcelsius Enterprise 2008. One of the first things I noticed was that Xcelsius 2008 is still plastered all over the place. I understand that the name has been changed recently and it is quite possible that the developers didn’t have the time to work in the re-branding. I just hope that SAP follows through with the name change better than they did with Polestar aka “Explorer”. Polestar still shows up in the URL and in the Servers in the CMS.
Fixed Issues
There are 17 issues that have been fixed with this FP. Here is a quick list of some of the more noteworthy ones:
- ADAPT01306450: Parent dashboard page is refreshed when calling openDocument sWindow=New
- ADAPT01401001: Bindings are not retained when a query’s structure is changed
- ADAPT01394920: Refresh options removed when migrating XLF files to Xcelsius 2008 SP3
- ADAPT01369545 & ADAPT01388980: Tool-tip text for charts is truncated when the < symbol is present
- ADAPT01392534: COM exception in Vista when you log on to an SAP system
