Service Packs

Service Pack 3 for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise was quietly released last week to the SAP Service Marketplace.  It is available as both as a patch and a full install.  All the associated documentation is available on the Help Portal.  Here are some of the highlights from this release:

  • Improved Installer — SAP claims that installation times are now 50 to 75% shorter.
  • New OS Support — Including Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Web Intelligence Query Stripping — When enabled, query stripping will remove objects not used in the report from your query, improving query performance.
  • New Servers for Xcelsius processing — Two new servers, Xcelsius Cache and Xcelsius Processing have been added to give administrators greater control over their deployment.
