The Challenge
The client utilizes Business Objects for their enterprise reporting solution. They need to create over 100 versions of certain reports with different parameters, scheduled at different intervals, and distributed to different people. The main issue with scheduling these directly in BroadcastAgent is maintenance; if the report or parameters are changed the report must be rescheduled, including reentry of all the prompts. The client wanted the scheduling process to be driven off of a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, making it much easier to maintain and schedule the reports, while also eliminating the manual effort required.The Solution
